You know from so many Scriptures and Bible stories that you are a very important person to God. God loves you. God cares about you. God equips you. God views you as important. God gave you His Holy Spirit. God also gave you a church family.
“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
Jesus bought the church with His own blood. This church – a called out assembly – is Jesus’ passion for you. He knew that you would need other believers in your life. Rick Warren says “Small groups are not a program of the church, they are the church.”
Small groups allows our church culture of worship, fellowship, and family-centeredness to flow right into our everyday lives. Through small groups like baking, sermon discussions, basketball, and ladies fitness you will develop friendships as well as be an encouragement to others.
The writer of Hebrews says, “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Friend, you’re not in Heaven yet. This world is not getting more perfect, it’s getting worse. You need a setting, a group, a gathering of people where your soul is getting refreshed and your spirit is getting renewed.
