Are you willing to pay the price? ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ

You’ve seen it before. The sports team that won’t stay after practice to run extra drills never gets a chance to play in a championship. The marriage that is falling apart and won’t go to counseling ends in divorce. Many church buildings are simply coffins filled with dead, dried up, boring Christianity because the church wasn’t willing to reach out to their community and invest in young people.

The team that fails to pay the price will NEVER reach their potential. – John Maxwell

There is no success without paying the price. Following Jesus cost you something. It meant saying no to the false gods, false religions, and experiencing ridicule and sometimes hatred from others around you. Saying yes to a new job opportunity cost you to move across town or take a week less of vacation this year. To go up in life you have to give up something that matters to you.

You and your team (business, family, or ministry) need to pay to be able to go up.
1. The price must be paid by everyoneย
– Teams win or lose together. Championship rings aren’t only given to the starters but also the bench players. Everyone is involved.

2. The price must be paid all the time
– โ€œI went by the field of the slothful, And by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, And nettles had covered the face thereof, And the stone wall thereof was broken down.โ€ย Proverbsโ€ฌ โ€ญ24:30-31โ€ฌ โ€ญ

3. The price increases if the team wants to change, improve or keep winning
– 3 time NBA champion Steph Curry says, “success is not an accident, success is actually a choice.” To win 3 NBA championships Steph’s team had to evolve as they brought in new teammates and faced different opponents. You have to constantly be evaluating and assessing your team.

4. Success will never be cheap
– There are no shortcuts to success. Whether it’s the 5:00 am alarm going off for your workout to start or your late night studying to get that degree, it cost you. Expect to sacrifice. Don’t expect it to be easy.

What price will you pay this week to be able to advance in your life? Will you spend an extra hour in prayer pouring your requests out to God? Will you take your spouse out to dinner TWICE this week to show extra love and care? It’s time to pay.
