Why do you get scared to take the shot? You think about starting that business but something stops you. You signed up for online education but you never started the course. You know that you should share the gospel with your boss but somehow you never bring up the topic.
Are you still shooting for something? A goal? A desire? A calling that God’s given to you? You won’t ever fully know what God has for you until you try something. Levi Lusko said it like this, “a failure to understand how powerful and extraordinary God’s plans for you are will lead to you being taken advantage of by the enemy and failing to live up to your potential”
Think about Jonathan and his armor-bearer. Jonathan couldn’t guarantee the young man whether they would win the battle or not but he said let’s go give it a try! 1 Samuel 14:6 “And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few. And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.”
What about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? As they stand before the king, they have no idea what’s going to happen to them. They took a chance and trusted that God would bless them for their stand against wickedness. Daniel 3:17 “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
Go after something! Fight for your marriage! Push yourself to be a better leader! Try starting that business. Open up your mouth once and share the gospel. Go pray for somebody.

You will improve and grow to be the star you know you are, little by little. And remember, most all-star hall-of-famers failed 7 out of every 10 attempts.
