A Vessel for the finer

A Vessel for the finer

Proverbs 25:4 – “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.”

1) God is working on taking the impurities off our life in the same way a silversmith works with silver.

Malachi 3:3 – “And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.”

2) God holds the flame of fire to our life in order to refine us. He never leaves us during the trial. He is purposely looking to sift the sin and selfish stuff out. He knows what He’s doing. He will not leave us in the fire too long because that would ruin us.

Romans 8:28-30 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

3) God’s goal during the refining process is purity and to be able to see His image. The trial is complete when the He looks into us and sees His reflection. He is not trying to ruin us. He is trying to make us holy, pure, and without blemish – like Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:18 – “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

4) God is working on making us praiseworthy. This gives Him honor and glory.

1 Peter 1:7  – “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”

5) When you come out of the trial everyone that looks at you will be amazed. It will be a testimony of Gods workmanship. Trust Him.

Daniel 3:27 – “And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.”

6) This is the process of holiness and purity. This is how God makes us like Christ. We shall come forth giving maximum glory to God.

Job 23:10 – “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”

7) Accept the flames at the Master’s hands. Allow Him to pull the impurities off. Appreciate the process. Amplify His praises.

God is good all the time!
