Entrepreneurial Wisdom

Our Production Capacity Team has been continuing to meet with our interested church members on how to create wealth for the purpose of funding global missions and church planting. These meetings have been insightful, encouraging and educating. The desire to grow, give and go for the glory of God is inspiring.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. – Jesus

This last week we had several of our business owners give their testimonies on how they started their businesses, utilized their skills and expertise to create wealth, and the impact it’s had on their personal giving to missions.

Here’s some of the phrases and pithy quips of their entrepreneurial wisdom:

“Rules of Investing”

1. Never lose money

2. See rule #1

“Industry and frugality are the means to creating wealth.”

“Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. Don’t be greedy!”

“Leave some meat on the bone for the next investor.”

“The Havedalah Cup Principle: Fill your cup and give out of the overflow. Get strong within before you try to give out.”

“Don’t get emotionally attached to the money. Always be ready to sacrifice for growth.”

“Don’t kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Protect your Investment.”

“Feed what feeds you. Take care of your producers. Don’t muzzle the ox.”

“Save to invest. Put your money to good use.”

“Money never sleeps. Leverage the power of compound interest.”

“Enjoy the fruits of your labor, just don’t eat up all your capital!”

….for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. -Luke 16:8
